Hey all, I just changed out a busted ignition coil and after I was done my engine was idling about 500 extra rpm. Ran my code reader and it gave me 2 messages…p0507 idle control system RPM - higher than expected
And…p0113 intake air temperature sensor 1 Circuit high bank 1
Any ideas on how to fix it myself or should I just take it to my mechanic?

Quick and dirty way to see if its the sensor is to just unplug it. If idle returns to normal, than thats the issue, either the sensor itself or the wiring. If it does work, try cleaning it before replacing. Unhook the intake hose and spray the probe with some MAF cleaner, make sure not to touch it with your fingers though

chrispcritter72 - First, what year and second, what engine? We can help you better with that information.

Nick_rp - If he has a 5.7L, he has a MAP not a MAF. MAF cleaner will likely damage a MAP sensor.
