Got a whistling noise that sounds like its coming right up through the throttle body. highest pitch at idle and gets lower until about 40% throttle or so then goes away. Pretty confident that points to vacuum.
Co worker looked down throttle body and said he saw oil pooling in the bottom of the intake.

When the shop was replacing my cracked head awhile back I brought them a hughes plenum plate to put on. Magnet is not sticking to it so it looks like they at least put it on.

Do you guys think it's most likely the plate leaking?
Engine is running fine so far.

Id bet it's the little felt gasket that seals the tb and airhat. Never heard of a plenum whistling like that.

That's what I thought too until the noise didn't change when I removed the airhat. Lol Putting my hand over the top of the bare throttle body makes it sound different. Maybe its just the throttle body mounting gasket.

I'm not real positive. I checked all the lines over real quick and they seemed fine. not much free time these days. Just had a minute in the parking lot at work. Haha

Should I just spray some starting fluid or something on the fittings and look for idle surge?

I had them use the gaskets in the hughes kit...
I am now reading that was probably a mistake. haha
