Not assuming you dont know, but the difference in tire diameter is probably putting you around 4.06:1 Effective gear ratio. (assuming you have 3.55 now? ) 28 vs 32 dia.

Stock size at 275/60/20 = 32.99 diameter 275/25.4*.60x2+20

At 32.99 dia you're 4.18:1 Effective.


I had a 13 RCSB with the 6 speed and 3.55, and recently traded for an 8 speed 3.92. There is a big difference, even stock it's impressive. Id be curious to see what your truck would do with 3.92. You could run a larger dia tire and cover more distance faster that way.. just a thought.

Did those shorty's actually do something performance wise for the truck? I know on all my other vehicles I had shorty's were pointless as they helped absolutely none. Just curious if they have any performance benefit on these or not and why those over longtubes?

Idk if u know bit I already hit 14.66 with Just a vararam intake. . 6 speed 3.55 quad cab.

My goal is low 13s

I think the 456's are to tall for the housing; I think you will need to get the housing machined to get the 456 to fit. I went 355 to 410 and it's a tight fit. But in reality the 8 speed is far superior to the 6 speed in every way. I have the 6 speed

I ran 14.0@99 with a bad 60'. I have 3.92 lsd. 4.56 lsd, converter, and slicks. That should put you in low 13s.

thats a very impressive run, especially for a QC. that make me feel all warm inside to see a big monster like that run the way it is. even tho i have a 6 speed.

How deep are your pockets, and how willing are you to lose some street manners? It can be done but there is lots of mod's that you have to do if you want to stay NA without nitrous.

Mods are;
2/3 Ground Force lowering kit.
170 degree Thermostat
clutch fan delete
mufflex muffler delete
S&B CAI
Mopar LSD
Custom tune
NX proton Plus kit..

Will be at the track again tomorrow. Still with 3.21's and the factory LSD. The 3.55's are in but the Auburn isn't.

Hoping for better track prep and to be able to turn up the launch...
