What is the hole in the back of the little cubby with the 115v power outlet below it?

A light?? Just curious I just installed the factory 115v power inverter in my tradesman and it was pretty straightforward with the right wiring harness installed. And power inverter that goes under the passages seat in the oem location.

Would you be referring to the small square'ish opening above the outlet in the first 2 pics that GTyankee has posted?

The only use I'm aware of is to provide access to a dash mounting screw.

I'm curious to know the Wattage capacity of your newly installed inverter. Care to share?

Even with the Laramie models, that cubby is there above the power plug.
I would say that it is just a Key storage & the place where they hide a mounting screw for the center stack

My Limited also has the small storage spot. Pretty sure it's to hold you pack of Wrigley's Spearmint Gum. ;)
I keep my pack of tire deflators in there, never even thought of gum. Wonder what other small stuff we can pack in there. Maybe I'll make a tiny cargo net for the opening.

I've also kept my remote FOBS for my Aux fuel tank pump and up/down remote valves for my airbags. Multi-purpose.

Most of those dashboard inverters, unless He put something in there not OEM, depending upon year, max wattage was 400 watts. Enuf to charge a phone, small things like that. U not gonna run any power tools, LOL.

I'm just curious to know if there's a range of different capacities available, mine is a feeble 150W.

I'm confident it would never be cost-effective to upgrade to a larger capacity, I'm just curious.
