i planned on pulling them out and plastidipping them but im starting to wonder if its worth it to take them out? seems like i could be in some trouble if i break too many of the clips.

I don't know why you'd break any off anyways. I took mine out yesterday and didnt break any!

idk they seemed to be in there really tight. im also used to my 2nd gen where all clips break when i mess with them

They won't if you don't rush it, you have to do it in an order that makes sense and not rush it to much haha took me 20 min

I was thinking about doing the same, just plastic dipping the honeycomb part and leaving the outside of the grill chrome, think it would look pretty bad ass

I believe OP just got a 3rd gen ram.

I was nervous about removing mine too. But it went well. Gently pryed the clips out with a screwdriver. Top ones first, then center, then bottom.
