how do i access these wires?

my usb stopped working in my 2013. I think the connection behind the usb plug become undone. Does anyone know how i can access these wires. I have the fold down armrest with the usb in there. I have included a picture of what it looks like.

It looks like a USB cable. It's also a USB cable on the back of the radio.

Does the trim ring light up when you turn on your truck?

yes the blue lights aroujd the usb plug in and aux do light up.

Hard to get to dealer during their times. Was hoping I could get access to the back of the USB plug. I'm pretty sure the connection is just loose

If it lights up doesnt sound like its loose. USB's get there power from the head unit to light up/charge the item plugged in. I would strongly suggest taking it to, or at least contacting the dealer.

Worst thing is it used to work then just stopped. That's why I thought it might just be a loose connection somewhere

USB connectors commonly break at the source. PC have it happen all the time and I see no reason why it wouldn't happen in one of our trucks. Thats my best guess or you had an update that messed with the program that reads it.

I had same problem, dealer had to replace USB cable to console as it failed. They had take out seats and carpet to do it. They took about 4 hours....has worked flawlessly since.

It's really not that hard to get access to that panel... Gently pry up on the cup holder bezel, then pull the upholstery spline out of the surrounding area (near cupholders)

Gently pull the foam down a little.. and you're there. The panel comes out by pushing down on the bottom (2 tabs) when the bottom tabs released, I used a large flat head screwdriver to hit the upper tabs.

I don't recommend this btw...Mine looks a little sloppy now, even after smashing the spline back in as tight as possible.. I think I may have stretched the fabric a little
