thanks for info. not to sound pushy but did the dev of software have any idea a eta on when may come out. only ask cause I seem to be a rush all the time and then really was not needed that quick. or I sent off and boom new software drops.... lol
thanks again for all the info. this is a great forum for info....

The last time I talked to him, he said “he was working on it and couldn’t make any promises of a time frame”. I was waiting for him to announce a solution for this as well. But just decided to just send it to nav repair today.

@mxrider309 ,

I just recorded my mileage , and installed my new to me premium cluster [emoji106]

Having correct mileage , hours and such just isn't important to me ...I did wait until I had exactly 60,000 miles so it's easy for me to look at my odometer and know my total miles by simply adding 60k .

Here in Tennessee all ya gotta do go to the DMV and get a form for mileage correction for an instrument cluster change and record the proper information .
Then just retain that form in the glove box with the registration.

Having the wrong milage displayed on the cluster with these trucks isn't really a problem for resale because you can go to any dealership and they can read your trucks actual mileage wirelessly in their Maint bay . If the prospected buyer was concerned about it and needed further proof than the DMV form or your word [emoji108][emoji106][emoji2533]

I installed mine. There is about a 800 mile difference between what I have and what the cluster has. (Truck ~10400 cluster ~11200). Waiting to see if alphaobd will end up with the ability to change mileage if not I'll probably send it out at some point.

Does uconnect read from the PCM or from the cluster?

I’m not sure. That’s a good question, and I see where you’re going with it. “Is it a warranty concern when uconnect receives your vehicle report with different mileages”.

Possibly. My truck is a 16 with 56k so the power train warranty is all that’s left. It was more of just basic curiosity than anything.

because you can go to any dealership and they can read your trucks actual mileage wirelessly in their Maint bay
I am not sure about that, the mileage is stored in cluster.
I just hooked up to truck with witech2 and reads odometer in cluster, mileage was 6597.8 and them checked it In the pcm, was 6586.3680. so for me I felt with a new truck I would get the mileage and drive and idle hours corrected now. I want no issues at all in the future. thanks for info though

My dealer took my mileage wirelessly when I pulled into the Maint bay . I was going there for a recall . First I parked outside and walked into the service writer , he said pull in and leave it running .
I did , walked in and he was writing my ticket up and had my exact mileage , I asked how he got it and he said wirelessly .

that was done though wi advisor, he hooked up a witech pod and it download info to tablet for them to write up ro. it does not change anything on the car or truck its hooked up to , reads only. now I understand what they did. that is the newer way for a service advisor to write up ro.

Has anyone found out how to get the xm station to show on a truck that upgraded the cluster? I have an 2016 ram 2500 w 8.4 RA3 (factory) and added a 15 7” evic.

NM resetting the radio fixed it. The one from the engineering menu.

Did you have a compass reading before you did the swap? The compass is in the overhead console, it's not part of the EVIC itself.

The developer has been trying to add the mileage correction. He has the basic cluster dialed in, but needs to physically have a 7” cluster to be able to get that one figured out. He has a partner in Texas that can get it figured out if someone was willing to send him one (you, for instance). If you feel like doing this, I’m sure they would program yours for free if they get it figured out. You can contact Alexey at [email protected] to inquire about it. You would be helping everyone out that has the AlfaOBD and wants to do this in the future.

I looked through this thread but I didn’t notice seeing if you do a cluster upgrade on a 2013 on how to correct the TPMS issue? Can you just use 2014 up TPMS sensors to correct it or is it unable to be corrected?
