Added a console in my 2014 Express the weekend with homelink/compass/rear window slider and map lights. Only need the Homelink and maps. My green plug was totally different than everything i have seen posted.

All i had coming out of the green plug was yellow/black and black. There were only like 4 wires on the truck side of the green plug as well, guess these Express trucks are truly bare bones. These were ground and the yellow/black turned on the map lights when the doors opened. I used them and then tapped the constant 12volt outlet on my dash for constant power to turn on map lights anytime as well as constant power for the Home Link since there was nothing in the green plug that was constant 12 volt..

The diagram i got off here wasn't the same as my truck so i wasn't able to tell which wire was the linbus so i didn't hook it up. Can't get the Homelink to work unfortunately so does it require the linbus wire to work or does that only make it light up and show up in the EVIC?

Not sure , I haven't done this mod yet , but I plan on it in the future . Proper wire diagrams may help you figure this out though . Google this: techauthortychrysler wire diagrams English : you should find it and it's great and vin # spacific if you enter yours ! The diagrams are kinda basic but good enough to figure most things out .
POST LOTS OF PICTURES OF YOUR CUT OUT AND INSTALL PLEASE .
Hope the techauthorty site helps you out !

The home-link module has four poles on it.

HOMELINK PINOUT
PIN CICUIT WIRE COLOR FUNCTION
1 A990 RED FUSED (+)
2 Z911 BLK GROUND
3 D402 BK OR/VY LINBUS CBC 2
4 NOT USED

If you hook up only pins 1 and 2 the home-link will work, but you will not get any message in the evic when training or using it, also it will not light up with the dash lights.

My truck was the same as yours on the top part of the green Yazaki connector I had only

YAZAKI CONNECTOR PINOUT TOP SIDE
PIN CICUIT WIRE COLOR FUNCTION
1 EMPTY
2 EMPTY
3 EMPTY
4 EMPTY
5 EMPTY
6 EMPTY
7 EMPTY
8 EMPTY
9 EMPTY
10 EMPTY
11 M11 YL/VT DOME LIGHT AND DOOR POWER(+)
12 EMPTY
13 EMPTY
14 EMPTY
15 EMPTY
16 Z910 BLK GROUND

However on the bottom of that connector I had the following:

YAZAKI CONNECTOR PINOUT BOTTOM SIDE
PIN CICUIT WIRE COLOR FUNCTION
1 A990 RED FUSED (+)
2 D402 BK OR/VY LINBUS CBC 2
3 EMPTY
4 EMPTY
5 EMPTY
6 EMPTY
7 EMPTY
8 Z911 BLK GROUND
9 EMPTY
10 M27 YL/LB CONSTANT POWER FOR MAP LIGHTS (+)
11 M11 YL/VT DOOR SW POWER FOR LIGHTS (+)
12 EMPTY
13 EMPTY
14 EMPTY
15 EMPTY
16 Z910 BLK GROUND

If you have these circuits in the bottom of the plug, you need to pin the top of the plug to match for pin locations 1, 2, 8 and 10. You then need to splice into the 2 wires you currently have to go to the overhead /map lights

CONSOLE MAP LIGHTS CONNECTION PINOUT
PIN CICUIT WIRE COLOR FUNCTION
1 Z910 BLK GROUND
2 M11 YL/VT DOOR SW POWER FOR LIGHTS (+)
3 M27 YL/LB CONSTANT POWER FOR MAP LIGHTS (+)

I built my own harness as you know you cant buy them, unless you buy a whole new headliner. I used the correct pins which are very hard to get, most folks just tap into or splice into the wires.

Your truck may or may not be wired the same, mine now displays the homelink functions in the evic and the map and overhead lights work as they are supposed to.

Hope this helps

That bottom pinout info is VERY helpful cptwing!! I didn't have that many wires on the bottom side though but i will make pop the cover back off and make notes this weekend.

I have the Homelink powered/grounded but no luck so far getting it to work but i will keep trying to program it. Gonna go back and hookup the linbus wire so i can make sure its doing what it needs to be in the EVIC and not just chasing my tail with a dead module as well.

Map lights function 100%, but struggling with Homelink i got from you.

In some cases your garage door may have a rolling code that needs to be programed a little different. It is detailed in the owners manule. Not sure if you checked that yet thought I might mention it.

I watched the uconnect video that said to hold the outside buttons for at least 20 seconds to clear codes then hold the remote next to the button to be programmed and press it and the button you wanna program for 10 seconds or so then go hit the learn code button on the garage door opener and within 30 seconds go back to the truck and hit the button to be programmed and hold for 2 seconds, let go and hold for 2 seconds again and it should work but no luck.

There is no mopar part for these connectors and the dealer will more than likely be no help, but the ones you seek are available from mouser.

FYI You will need a good crimping tool and buy extra parts and practice with them, also be very careful with the homelink connector it has a red locking device on the side and is easy to break. The parts are cheap enough and if you screw up you will need to reorder and pay the shipping cost

Finished Wiring mine last night, I had a decent amount of wires going into the truck Side Green Plug, but pin 1 which is supposed to be fused b+ for the compass was dead, had power at the fuse box @ the fuse but none coming into the cab. No biggie, just tapped the constant power for power and used the ground there. Took 30 seconds to program my 2 garage doors and everything shows up on the Evic.
