I recently bought black "RAM 1500" emblems after removing my chrome ones. I used some goo gone on the adhesive left over, and now i'm not sure where the new logos are supposed to go.

maybe go find another truck with the emblems and check out where they are, probably centered left to right and top to bottom, not sure about that, just a thought

The best way I've seen to do this is before you take the emblems off to use some blue tape to make a frame template tightly around the emblems then carefully taking it off. Then when you're ready to put the new ones on you put the tape template back on and this will show you where to put them. This may be too late for you so maybe, like cuminslvr said, find a friend with another ram and make a template from his emblems. Also make sure when you do it to have some sort of vertical marker like have a piece of tape wrap into the wheel well at a certain screw or something.
Anyway, hopefully that makes sense!

This is exactly what I have done when replacing any factory emblems. It is the most difficult with emblems made up of separate numbers or letters. I put 392 emblems on my Ram, that was a pain. If OP has already removed his OEM emblems best he can do is find another Ram and take measurements of the factory emblems for it to be perfect.

Masking tape along one side edge and top/bottom is the correct way to do this but since you already have them removed i can take a few measures with close up pics and post them for you if youd like? RAM is level with the hemi badge, i just do not know how far in the door it starts

gonna have to take measurements from another ram, but still gonna use the tape method to make sure my lines are 90 degrees, thanks.

Mine were applied at the favtory so i can take a few measurements from the door edge but it looks like you just even the spacing with the hemi badge going the opposite direction. Up and down is flush with hemi so itll be easy for you to apply
