First I take no responsibility for your truck. Your doing this at your own risk. This is just a guide. I have a 2019 ram 1500 classic.

So after putting on my bed cover I realized you can’t see anything in the bed at night. So here’s how to wire up bed lights.
First mount your lights in your bed where you want to. Mine came in two strands of 4 lights each. So I did 4 on each side of my bed liner I ran the wires behind the bed liner.

Then ram the wire under the truck bed. Sorry didn’t take pic of that but I think y’all can figure that out. Since mines a crew can I took out the storage box in the floor on the passenger side. Ram the wire through there to get it into the cab. Then up the C pillar to the high mount brake light area. I ram the wire behind the headliner to the high mount brake light

Next tapped into the high mount cargo lights. Gray wire was positive and brown wire was negative.

Then just buttoned everything up. Now the light in the bed will come on when pushing the unlock button on the remote. Or on when pushing the cargo light button in the cab. Also they will shut off when pushing the lock button on the remote and off when pushing the cargo light button in the cab.

If you have any questions I can help as much as I can. I’ll take some more pics when the sun goes down.

Thanks for the write up. I siliconed my CHMSL in when I replaced the bulbs with LEDs. Now I have the wiring colors (too lazy to do it myself haha) that I can look down in the cab somewhere instead of yanking out the light again.
