I just bought a 2014 Ram 2500 4x4 CC, 6.4 Hemi.
The original transmission fill tube is broken at the bell house attachment point. The original tube doesn’t have a bracket on top that connects to the top of the intake like the new one does so that’s probably why it broke.

How do you get the new fill tube behind the engine? If anyone has done this Id sure appreciate some advice. Thanks

I have a similar problem and posted yesterday also and nobody responded. This problem must be rarely seen.

It is a common occurrence on 14’s since they had the original tube design. Strangely nobody will talk about how to replace it. I’ve talked to 3 dealership service departments and even a tech on here and nobody will share any experience about this. It’s like a Clinton coverup or something. ‍♂️

Turned out the shop I used couldn’t figure out how to get the new one in without major parts removal so they welded the old one up. Then they couldn’t get it back in except from the bottom with truck on the lift and cooler lines removed. I haven’t gotten the full rundown yet but should know something by end of the day.

You must remove a bunch of parts to change the dipstick tube....in case anyone else finds this thread. Not easy.
