Just bought my second RAM a couple of weeks ago. Traded in my 2005 1500 Lone Star With 100,000 miles for a 2014 Lone Star demo w/ about 5000 miles on it. In retrospect, wish I had gotten either a 2013 or a 2015 but, oh well, maybe next time. The new one is lacking a backup camera, that's how I found this forum. Thanks to the posts here, I've been able to locate the MOPAR camera kit (at an almost reasonable price) and get it on order. Should arrive tomorrow. My dealer wanted $1000 for the camera and installation or 'just' $108 plus tax to activate it. My son's dealer in the Houston area told him that he would activate it for free and install it, if I wanted, for $250-$275. I've confirmed the truck will need the new body harness and as I'm not as young and limber as I used to be, am strongly considering it. Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Thanks for all the greetings. Called my local dealer (not where I found the truck) and they said they would install and activate the camera (kit) for $210. Not bad, at least for me.
Am now researching changing out the instrument panel for a premium version. Have found then from on-line dealers for a bit over $500 but just learned there is some funny stuff about core charges. Have also started a search for a used one. At least think I've got the correct part numbers worked out.
