I may pull the trigger on a 2020 “Classic” but is it true there’s a big hump in the floor where the passenger’s feet go and it makes it uncomfortable for them?? Say it ain’t so! Anyone have pics? This seems odd, but my buddy swears on it! Is he right??

I have a 14 Express which is the same as a Classic and my truck doesn't have a hump on the passenger side floor that I have ever noticed.

The motor and transmission are offset to the pass side of the truck,to offset the fuel tank and drivers weight,so the pass side footwell is smaller then the drivers side, but there is no hump in the pass floorboard,it's just a bit smaller

As a dealership mechanic I have had the interior and carpet out of plenty of the DS body trucks and there is not a hump in the passenger footwell.

Thanks! I guess I shouldn’t have said hump in the actual floor. He says where the left leg naturally would go, it can’t, because the footwell is blocked from something in the center. That was a terrible way to explain it, sorry. Basically it’s a very small footwell and the left leg would be resting on a slope.

This is what I’ve heard. Thanks! And it makes the left leg be at an angle because there’s a big slope there where the leg would naturally go.

Do a search on floor mats (Weather Tech and/or Husky) and then compare Left vs Right...You'll get an idea of what your buddy is talking about...

Yes it's true that the passenger side footwell is less wide than the driver's side for the reason that @Wild one pointed out.

Exactly what I was going to say...there is definetly less space than the drivers side for passengers in a 4th Gen.

Why not just go to a dealership and look at one?

Thankfully I don't sit on that side but for a truck this big the lack of foot space on the passenger side is stupid. Having the fuel tank on the driver side sucks.

The cab is designed for exhaust clearance on Cummins models as well...I'm sure that's a factor.

Stop in the dealer and check one out.
