Well, it happened to me. I've had the truck about 3 months and we were on a road trip to Wyoming. On the way back I heard the hissing noise.
At first I thought it was something dragging on the left front rotor. You could turn the steering wheel or press on the brakes and it would go away. Thank Al Gore for the internet! I did a quick search and bigger then snot there was a video on youtube about the hose failure. I didn't want to pull the hose off on the side of Hwy 25 and once I did enough reading to know there was no danger of brake or steering failure we drove down into Cheyenne.
Pulled off into a truck stop and unscrewed the hose. There it was the teflon hose liner had failed and run up into the booster.
Seems to be a fairly common failure from what I have seen.
