Hyperflash problem

Posted on the other forum with really no solutions found. I installed the DRL-1 module on my '16 sport to have the amber LEDs on at full power as DRLs. The module works great and the amber LEDs power up as they're supposed to. However, I get a hyperflash on the dash and ONLY the mirror signal flashes fast. Both the front and rear signal flash how they're supposed to. I've also noticed everything works fine when my headlights are on as the module is triggered off.

I can't seem to find any solutions. Any ideas?

The module is supposed to be transparent and the truck is not supposed to know it's there.

i would also like to know a solution, I bought a set of spyder LED tails for my 2014 sport with the factory led tails and I had the same exact issue. but it was only one taillight that did it and it would do it no matter which side I had it plugged into. so I just assumed that taillight was faulty. is it doing it on both sides or just one?

Whacha doing with the OEM tails?

For the spyders you probably need a load resistor wired inline.

I assume a resistor or LED module would be needed for the OP as well.

keeping the OEM tails in case I ever trade it in, my spyders are painted to match. and since my truck already had the led tails from the factory I shouldn't of needed any resistors. but I tried a few different resistors with no luck. I even wired a relay to the diagnostic system on that taillight to trick the computer. didn't work either.

Looks like spyder makes 2 different types of ram LEDs. One is not for factory LED trucks and the other is. Maybe there is a built in resistor in your spyders. Maybe you can snatch that resistor out of there or bypass it.

there is no resitors, I pulled the whole taillight apart. just wires direct to the circuit board. the rams with factory led tails do not need resistors when adding led tails because its already set up for the leds.

Back to the OP, I tried putting a resistor inline with the module and still get the same problem.
