Two things :p

Ill start with the positive, i switched from valvoline synpower to pennzoil platinum and my hemi tick is 95-100 per cent gone from the first startup with pp. i dont know what was in the motor when i bought it this summer but it had a pennzoil filter on it so i guess it was that. Immediately when i put the synpower in it the hemi tick came to life and now its gone ( i <3 moly :p ) lots of thanks to burla ive read lots of his posts on syn oil and he inspired me to go lurk at bitog.com :) i learned lots!

And on an even more positive note ( in my opinion XD ) i think i found a crack in my manifold! It doesnt make any noise yet but it will the winter! At first i was disappointed but then i was like hell yea LT headers sooner than thought :p

Although a lil negative: i have a bug with my left high beam and drl. Sometimes it goes out, low beam works all the time. Today i changed the bulb and it was the same so i got out the test light. Ground is good but no high beam voltage. Fuse good so i pulled the tipm to find a bunch of taped wires. Previous owner had mentioned something about the tipm being serviced at dodge becuase the flasher didnt work. Anyways i didnt find any loose wire but ran out of time but i know where to continue looking... I have access to mitchell and alldata wiring diagrams :p

Gotta love oxidization! XD

Thats the passenger side in the back ( the crack in the photo)
I found the heat shield was loose so i ripped it off and hello!

Yeah, those bolts looking like a real PITA when the day comes.

I think yours look as bad as mine, maybe worse so keep us posted how that mod goes.

haha i just used the same excuse. could hear an exhust leak and figured might as well put new gaskets on.....And LT. still waiting to recive in the mail... cant wait.

not to threadjack but I have question about header installs. Ive got the megacab with true duals but factory manifolds so my question is how hard/expensive would it be to install pacesetter LT's?

I've heard amazing stuff about the Penn Plat. I think the G8 will get that in the future instead of Mobil 1. Perhaps the truck too. I don't necessarily want to run syn in it, but the extended oil change intervals are VERY nice.
