First time I have posted here so please excuse me if I didn't do it correctly

Is it possible to upload a short video so anyone can advise if I have a broken /cracked exhaust manifold / bolt on the driver side?

OR

Just a bad Hemi Tick at Startup?

It does dissipate after approximately 45-60 seconds.

It sounds a little worse in person but that is the best video I could get.

The only oil that has been used in this truck is Pennzoil Ultra Platinum full synthetic.

Engine has 54K miles

Thank you in advance for the assistance

When your engine is cold, reach in through the wheel wells, grab the corners of the heat shields over the exhaust manifolds, and see if they are loose.

Usually, one or more of the bolts are broken, and it is almost always the rearmost bolt(s).

Very common problem.

Please post what you find.

Just got done crawling around under the engine compartment. I was able to grab the heat shield in the rear on both the drivers side and passenger side and give a slight push on the front part of the heat shield both drivers and passenger side.

NO play, front or back on both heat shields.

From everything I have read on this forum, I would guess a cracked manifold somewhere under the heat shield that I cannot see or a broken bolt under the heat shield.

That is my best guess though.

Thoughts?

If it was your truck, what would you change out to BD Manifolds, https://us.bddiesel.com/products/ex...ango-11-26-jeep-grand-cherokee-wagoneer-11-23

OR

Shorty Headers,

I am leaning toward the BD Manifolds based on the reviews I have read today.

Thank you for your input. Greatly appreciate it.

I can not really tell on these videos , sounds like a motor.
back in the old days you would stick a hose next to your ear and probe along the manifold or bearings, water pump ,etc and you could tell if something is making a noise.
on the simple stuff you could see burnt gasket or flanges and you could feel the gas leaking past the manifold, or see the crack.
I have welded a few in my day.

get a bit of hose, and try it. stay away from fans. Good luck. BTW is one side worse then the other? Old belts can make some noise as well.
I have heard water pumps make a racket as well.

Noise is left side only. Appreciate the input. I will do that tomorrow night after work
