I recently started my own detailing business and just the other day, the owner of one of the dealerships around here put me to the test. He wanted me to "Baby Doll" his 'Vette. So I took on the challenge. I took that car and made her shine better than the day she came off the showroom floor. He liked my work so much that he decided to hire on me and my guys to start washing all his vehicles he gets in. I couldn't believe it. But one question I do have for all of yall, how long does it usually take everyone to do a complete detail? From washing down to waxing and polishing? I feel as though I am taking too long and am just curios. Also I will post a pic of the 'Vette here shortly.

I want to say a full detail including wash, clay bar, buff, wax and scrub the entire interior would usually take 8 hours give or take depending on the size of the car and how bad it was
It was almost 8 years ago so I could be way off lol

So I guess I am not too far off. I usually spend about 6 hours on smaller to midsize vehicles. I have not gotten to experience much larger vehicles yet and I am actually dreading those because they will not fit in my garage.

It takes me between 6 and 8 hours to do a full detail on my truck. Now my Hemicuda is a different story. So much chrome that slows the process down.

Make sure you have a clear underestanding with him exactly what he expects on each vehicle. Somehow I doubt he wants clay bar perfection, just shinny and clean for the lot. :Nonono:

All he wants is a good wash and even better interior clean. If he wanted full clay bar treatment, I would be asking for a lot more.
