I almost feel like I'm missing piece to the puzzle lol, everything works except running lights, maybe they just won't work cause my truck was equipped with halogen, but sold for trucks with halogen, and seen videos of these lights working on other rams

Is that an illuminated Rams head on the tailgate? If so, where'd you get that?

Nice look, by the way.

Thanks, I loved that truck. I really loved the direction I took it. My current truck is a totally different animal. Not sure what I'm doing with it yet. I'm very deliberate on what I add.

Yes that is. I got it on Amazon but it's no longer available there. You might find one on another site. Here's a video on hooking it up. He's a member in here as well.

When installing new equipment that operates from any of the factory modules, do what GM calls a Master Reset. Disconnect the battery and do not use a "keep-alive" device. Go have a coffee and reconnect after about 20 minutes. To assure the reboot, touch the battery cables to each other for 5 or 10 minutes. Then reinstall the cables and start up and operate everything. The modules will discover the new lights, etc., and reboot the electronics. You may even see some difference in the charging voltage if you recently replaced the battery. I have fixed everything from compasses to transfer cases with the master reset, and my customers loved me!
You ever deal with clusters? After 625,000 miles
on a Ram 3500 the cluster quits operation

Have 2019 classic with halogen lights, I've bought to different sets of lights, tried plug and play resistors, tried various settings in alfaobd and I got nothing, guess no fancy running lights for me, smoked lense and some led bulbs... I'm calling it a LOSE
I have a 2019 with led lights love them. But I also had a 2015 tried led headlights. My truck did not like them after about 2 wks of having one headlight. I traded it off. Rams don’t like add on electronics

After 2 attempts with 2 different sets of taillights from amazon that wouldn't work in my truck, I went with a set of Alpharex Pro's, I was preparing myself for them to have same issues, they actually worked, with 1 issue, parking light out comes on when using break, not every time, but a lot, already tried some different settings with alfaobd, now might have to use the resistors Alpharex had sent me for headlights I never ended up installing

After proclaiming I give up on aftermarket taillights, I got the Alpharex Pro taillights to work with no fault codes, a lot of trial and error and 3 different sets of lights
Used the resistors Alpharex sent me, was gonna get plug and play resistors, but figured those would work best
Alfaobd cbc features led taillamp present: no
Everything else yes
Hope helps anyone else out there that is having same problem

touch the battery cables to each other for 5 or 10 minutes…..
Be careful applying this method to other vehicles… I used to do this for decades, until my wife’s 2012 BMW x5 a few years ago, the seconded the neg and pos touched it toasted the main 2 modules cost me $3000 just for the parts…
Do not do this unless you know you can!

Just wanted to revisit now that it's been a few months. Replacing the rear sockets with OEM has absolutely stopped the error messages. I get a tail light out message maybe once ever month but it goes away and doesn't come back.
