Is it just me, or do any type of mud flap or splash guard look awful on the current model Ram? I picked up a set weatherTechs and thought they looked like toothpicks. So I decided to go with the Mopar ones instead. But, they seem to make the truck look a lot lower. I know a lot of people around here don't run any. So I guess I'm wondering how much abuse the side of my truck will take over a New England winter if I take them off? Does anyone regret not putting them on? Thanks for any feedback!

I have the contour flap from mopar and I like them. I feel trucks should always have mud flaps but that is just my idea of what they should look like and to me they save on the paint and other windows so much.

I have the Mopar ones and think they look okay. But I didn't put them on for looks. They keep a lot of crap off of the truck and help protect the paint. Plus the rear ones help a little to protect the front of my camper.

I'm sure that the mopar ones are a good product. I usually don't mind the looks of mud flaps on trucks. But for some reason these just seem to take away from the appearance more than other trucks. Anyway, thanks for the thoughts on them. I guess I'll have to get used to it :)

Have then on my 07 ram. Really don't mind the looks of the mopar flaps, plus I like how it keeps salt and all kinds of crud from being thrown all over the lower half of the truck

I also do not like the looks of mud flaps. Perhaps once I get some 2500 flares, I'll look into a set anywho.

I really want to try and protect this expensive toy of mine. Driving down the sand covered snowy roads... Eeesh.

Not ripping on WeatherTechs at all... I've had a few sets of those over the years. Great product! I just didn't like the way that they looked on my truck

Up here we Got GATOR Flaps with different Optional Interchangeable/Embossed Stainless/Black Back Pieces, IE: Rams Head, HEMI, and Cummins, or the Dealerships Logo.
The rears you can get the top portion Full Wide. Stainless fasteners included. Thick Black Rubber with tiny Gator skin Look.

They Run anywhere from 85 to 100 a pair. Mine are 3 years old and look as new as the Day they where put on other than some scratches on the Stainless Plate. Unfortunately It seems to be a Canadian Manufactured Flap cause you US fellows have never talked about them. Its Law in these parts so better to have them than get hassled.

Some Pics of these Gators. Its something to look into.

Thanks! Actually I looked around for something along those lines and didn't have any luck in the local stores... I'll keep looking

Got tired of the mud streaks after a few weeks with the new Bighorn. Tried Weathertecs on the front and regular dealer ones on the rear. Didn't stop much mud at all. Went to the "Long John" style (36" long) all around and protruding enough to do the job. Work great and I've even come to like the look of them. Best $50 I've spent in a long time.
