First off let me apologize for my ignorance on the subject. I am looking to buy a tuner for my 02 5.9l ram . I have seen some older sc 3815 on sale for a good price. Does anyone know if my truck will support the trans tunes available with the newer 3865. I have read that the tunes themsevles are identical. If so would i be better off with the older cheaper 3815 model. I would spend the xtra if the trans tunes will work on my truck ,if not why waste my money? It seems rite now that the sct tuner from hemifever for $265 may be my best bet. You folks on this forum know more than me tho, thats why i am reaching out for help. I am a new member with lots of questions and eager to learn so please bare with me. I can see how this forum can be addicting,my girlfriend just asked .....are you on that truck website again? Lmao. Thanx as always for your replies.

No I don't think that it will support it only the 5.7 hemi and maybe the 4.7 but I could be wrong.

I believe the computers will not allow the transmission tuning options. I am running the 3715 and it does the job I need at the moment
