Lots of mileage for the year which generally means it's mostly highway miles which are good miles, if there's such a thing. Use the mileage to your advantage if you go in to the dealer to dicker on it. They can and usually offer to fix anything that's keeping you from buying a vehicle at their price, but they can't reduce the mileage (not legally anyway-:killer:)

That's a good point. I'm thinking about it. I'm so stuck in the old ways of thinking, that once you're close to 100K in miles, the vehicle is prone to nickle and dimeing you to death, but I think I need to get over that. Cars last much longer these days.

96K for a 7 yr old truck is slightly less than average. 15k avg time 7 yrs is 100k miles.

inspect brake pedal for corner wear. if any wear, at all, its not highway miles but stop and go miles and stay away from it. pull the oil fill cap and inspect underneath side for any milkiness or gunk caked on it. indicator of **** pooor oil changes and other engine issues.

Price is up to yoru area. every area is different.

I think that's a decent price.

I manually added most of those options to my base $30k 2013 V6/8spd/3.21 SLT CC 4x4 (Mar 2014) and easily added 3-5k in accessories/upgrades (8.4 nav conversion, steps, bed cover, tow hooks, 20"wheels, remote start, security alarm, tow hitch, BuCam, power fold/AutoDim Mirrors, overhead Homelink console, steering wheel audio controls, etc) and I still didn't have some of the nicer options that has per the build sheet...

http://www.ramtrucks.com/webselfservice/BuildSheetServlet?vin=1C6RR7LG5DS725335

Plus that has...
3.55 rear end (3.92 not an option on v6)
Limited slip rear end
32 Gal tank
Rear Park Assist
Alpine speakers w/sub
Power driver seat
Sunroof

* The only thing it's missing is heated/ventilated seats and projector headlights/sport LED tails.

An issue you might run into is with the Nav/GPS needing an update to SW version 17.x.x and then 18.45.01 (latest) to fix the GPS tracking bug from Nov 2019. Dealer can update it (for a fee) or if it's a USA truck/radio then I have the files in my forum thread (looks like it was destined for Wisconsin) ... Or you can install the 2018 ram UAQ or UAS radio with Android Auto/ CarPlay as an upgrade (did that on my previous 13 ram also).

M² Mods.

Thanks for your thoughts on it Mpgrimm2. My biggest hold back is the idea of it having 96K on the meter. That's 96000 miles that I have know idea of how well it was taken care of. Not sure I can bring myself around to the idea of spending almost 20K on a 96000 mile vehicle.

I don't have that kind of money to spend. Otherwise, I'd be there. Lol!

I haven't looked. Is it still used as a good guide? I had heard that KBB was purchased by Auto trader, and that they now have artificially inflated price points on it?

Ok, when "buying from dealer" KBB puts it at $15212 - $18,305. But don't know how accurate that is because this thing has the short bed, yet KBB didn't give me that option for an outdoorsman. Also KBB never asked me to fill in the mileage on it. Seems kinda generic.

Guess they assumed everybody knew that ... Pretty safe, since the long bed crew cab is such a rare bird

No, they actual had a box I needed to check, that showed 6.5 foot bed. No other options. Odd.

I'm not sure what is different but when I go on kbb the only option it does give me for a 2013 crew cab outdoorsman is a short bed (5.7), shows no option for the longer (6.5) bed.

I did find it strange they didn't have the mileage option, that's a first for me with using kbb. However, once at the page where they show the value I noticed it was going by the average mileage for that year (97,***), but there was an option to click "edit mileage and options" where you could put the actual mileage in.
