I need grille help

basically I want to switch my factory chrome grille to one of those riveted mesh 3rd party grilles from EBAY that look like this:


But how do they install? The ones I'm looking at are just the riveted section that inserts into the existing OEM shell. So does the OEM shell come out in pieces so that I can remove the middle "crossbar" and honeycomb insert but still keep the surrounding outer chrome shell?

Second question is which buyer would you pick? Both ship to Canada and the only difference I can see is price. The product looks basically the same and both have a good rating on Ebay but the more expensive one looks to be a more experienced seller:

The inserts will come out separately once you disassemble the grill. You will need to actually cut the cross out of the outer chrome grill section. The new insert covers the cut edges (mostly...unless you look close). Which one comes with a bro-hat?

I'm leaning towards the second 1 cuz I herd it gives more HP so I can carry more groceries in the bed lulzcopter!

u can get full replacement grilles like u want on ebay without having to cut the factory around $250 I was gonna get one like u posted but went with the solid black mess without rivets, the ones I seen were for a 2500 but sure there some for the half tons

For some reason all these companies hate the 2012 1500. You can find 2500 or 3500 for that year or every year BUT 2012 for the 1500. And in any case no-go for $250 on eBay either, I looked hard and shell+mesh are all $350+

Edit: you can find a glossy black shell for the 2012 1500 but not. chrome
