Hello guys, I have a 2018 and unfortunately DiabloSport hasn’t released the tune for the 2018s.

Can I put the mods I have on my list? I might buy some longtube headers and I wouldn’t want them to just sit there.

Also another question what treatment do y’all recommend to take all the rust off the tubes? I’d like to clean them up and also wrap them, THANKS!

Check with HP,i think they have the 2018's unlocked now. There's a guy with a 2018 that's tuned via HP over on Nadodge on facebook.

I would recommend that you have your headers(if you buy them)powder coated. It will protect them from rust and it will also reduce the heat under the hood. If you get the high flow cats I would coat them also. As has been said you will not get the full potential out of the headers without a tune. You might also consider getting a catch can and even a Pedal Commander.

A good ceramic coating on those headers will last forever, help cool down the engine bay and promote exhaust scavenging.

You could media blast them and use some high temp spray paint, then wrap them. That would be cheaper than the ceramic coating.

I'd get a Pedal Commander for now and wait for Diablosport to introduce their 2018 compatible programmer(s).

You could also do a cold air intake and freer flowing exhaust.

Has all the goodies for your truck
Matt@moesperformance has a lot of goodies for your truck too.

Both are very knowledgeable proffered vendors here on the forums.
I have bought from both and they go the extra 2 miles to make sure you're a satisfied customer. Both can assist with what does n don't work on Ram trucks

If was me, I would put on a catch can asap. I don't care for CAI especially in WA state, mainly due to rains a lot and I live in dust area, so a good drop in filter is cheap and CAI gains are minimal. 5.7 is known to break header bolts, so even some nice shorty headers should prevent this in future. My 13 Ram 5.7 has 40k miles and dealer had to replace broken bolts already, my 05 Durango 5.7 both sides have broken bolts more than once replaced. I was never a fan of catch cans, then I put one on my Ram, best $60 I spent, in past 7-8 months already have filled it around 2 times. throttle commander or the cheaper generic ones on eBay are great too.

I have a 2018 RCSB Ram 1500 and the only mod I have so far is a Borla ProXS muffler welded on swap. I’ll be buying some long tubes this Monday and I was wondering if I put them on before a tune would hurt my truck. I plan on ordering a K&N CAI from O’reillys since my aunt has an employee discount.

Give Matt a holler @moesperformance
with the details of your truck I know for a fact he can tell ya exactly. A lot better answer than me cause I'm still old school carburated for HP
