I think I’m starting to miss my tow mirrors

So I keep thinking about them lately. My 2003 Ram has tow mirrors (I added). I’m starting to miss having them. When I bought my new truck I liked both mirrors but it really wasn’t a deal breaker having either set of mirrors. Now since I have a Laramie, the mirrors have all the features. Is there a tow mirror I can buy that will retain all these features? One thing I really don’t care for on my current mirrors is that they are chrome. I’d rather have all black or body color. When I got the tow mirrors for my old ram it was way less complicated lol power or manual.

Yup, you can get the every option type mirrors off of a 2500/3500, all 4th gen rams use the same mirrors, regardless of the dealer listing. Or for about 1/3 the price you can get a set of Trail Ridge brand aftermarket ones from 1AAuto * that you wont' be able to tell aren't factory.

* Nope, don't work for them, don't get a kickback, etc. Just have the Trail Ridge ones and really like them.

Doesn’t look like they have the auto dimmer. Is this something the OEM tow mirrors have? Or is it just not an option on tow mirrors at all?

I don't have the auto-dim on my truck. Is it a physical tilt downwards or is it Electro Cromatic like the auto-dim rearview mirror? It's it's physical, I think the memory option covers that. If it's EC, I'm not sure. I'd give them a call and ask. Their tech people seemed pretty competent the one time I called them with a question. You can also ask Benny in the AllMoparParts forum here about the factory ones, he should be able to tell you if the factory tow mirrors can be had with auto-dim.
