well, that info is making me slightly less envious that I don't have the 3.92s. (though I would probably still choose them if I were to do it over again)

Yep. After owning both there really isn't a clear cut winner....both are good. Buy what matches your driving style.

I would NOT have gotten a Big Horn I would have gone for an Outdoorsmen, I utterly dislike detest and hate my transfer case, while many like the 44-44 with the so called auto function.
It causes me issues every winter and many other times, I'd much rather have the 44-45 "conventional" style t-case. This is why I'm waiting for the 2019-2020 Chevy 1500 with a diesel to come out.

I have 3.92s and it does burn quiet a bit more gas compared to the 3.21s. But from a dead stop, the truck does get up and go. It also does great for towing. I would recommend if you do quiet of bit of towing, but for hwy use, you don't need it.

What is the (ONE ) thing that you currently don’t have that you would have added ? For me it’s the complete Sport hood.

Power folding mirrors instead of tow mirrors. I tow like 3 times a year. I fold my mirroes 4 or 5 times a day.

Skid plates. Grille guard if I had known for sure which one I wanted. Maybe bed light system.

Would have bought a slightly higher trim package for a few options not in Bighorn, but not a deal breaker as the 5.7 does well.....

Considering the peak power band of the gas engine I would want the 3.92 gears. With the 3.21 I would expect a lot more shifting taking place with the transmission and add that to AFM and the results would less than ideal.

3.92 for sure. I really felt the lag Pullon 5k through the smokies. My last truck had 3.73 5.4 ford and there is a noticeable difference pulling grade. My 14 hour straight round trip was less than ideal.

I’m gonna look into a gear swap. There is a big jump in tow rating with 3.92’s. It jumps from 8140 to 11240

Just priced out a Limited... *for science*..
MSRP 63k.. but it looks amazing..
My Laramie was like $62.5 MSRP, I didnt want air suspension or power running boards and got the sport package with 12 inch screen, that was all I needed

3.92's the way the search is going if the 4th gen gears work in this truck.
