Actually, I think if they just put a booster (turbo or supercharger) on the 3.6 Pentastar they'd have a winner!I'd take the engine from a Ford (3.5 EcoBoost), combined with the transmission and interior of the RAM, the exterior from a RAM, and the suspension from the RAM. Oh wait, I'll just take the engine from a RAM, too. Yep, 2019 RAM 1500 Limited. That'll do.
Really my biggest adjustment coming from an F-150 is the relative lack of low-end torque out of the 5.7, compared to the 3.5 EcoBoost. My 2 F-150s hardly ever had to downshift to go up inclines.

It isn't a long bed, but it is my favorite truck I have ever owned.
Right now it has the cancer and a clutch issue. My son and I are going to be restoring it.
1980 Plymouth Trailduster is the truck I want.
Had a 1979, should have never sold it.
