20190102_195408.jpg I am the VERY proud owner of a 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Sport Package. Can't rave enough about the truck. I Just bought it on Dec. 29th. I noticed something odd though. As I can't stay away from the truck as it sits in my driveway keeping my Challenger Scat Pack Shaker company, that the illuminated USB ports in the lower dash and also in the rear console for the back seats are sometimes lit when the truck is off and locked and been sitting for a while. I have parked the truck, and gone back to it a few hours later just to admire it, and noticed that the LED lights around the ports were lit. Nothing else is lit. Except the red flashing security light in the dash. I am observing this through the window, and not opening the door. As I feared it might drain the battery if they remain powered like that for long periods, I started the truck, to reset everything. And turned it off and locked it up and the port lights remained off.
Is it a glitch? Is it supposed to do that? Is it haunted? lol.
Anyone?

EDIT: I just went back out to check and sure enough, the USB ports were illuminated again. I start the truck, let it run a few seconds. Shut it off, lock it up and everything is dark. I go back later and they are lit again. WHY?

Is the proximity key in your pocket when you go check on it?

I believe has been each time. I will go check it now without it.
Nope, that's not it. The USB ports are still lit. No proximity key in pocket. Even though I restarted the truck and shut everything down and locked it up (the lights were OUT) and left it alone for about an hour, and the lights were back on again.

Get the flash of the week and it will go away. I've had too many issues to list and most have gone away with a dealer flash.

I was out changing my oil last night on my 2019 Big Horn and sure enough my ports were lit up as well. I thought maybe it was because it had just been locked ~10mins ago and they would fade out on their own. I did not go back and check but I can assume I have the same issue as you. The good news is the ports are almost definitely lit by LED and the drain on the battery would most likely be negligible at best. What does make me wonder though is if the ports are energized as well as lit, if I left something plugged in to one of the ports while locked up overnight, in -40deg outside, how would my battery fair.

Thanks for the input. And glad it's not just me. I will see if a reflash fixes the problem the next time I'm at the dealer.

When camping I use my ports to charge various phones, tablets, etc. and have never had a problem even though the truck can sit for a week without starting. There is always something plugged in and charging.
