So, last night I finished things in the shop a few minutes earlier than expected........so, I started playing. LOL
Lots of things to do here, like..........a set of Chally lights I have in the corner....could have ran up to the warehouse and nabbed a set of Camaro lights I have in stock......or some Fords.........but.........I decided to do something that I have told a LOT of customers that I just couldn't do - stuff a LARGE shroud into a 4th Gen quad headlight.
So, lets start with this - the mini gatling gun shroud is what I have used on EVERY retrofit done in a 4th gen quad headlight. They fit. Thats about it. I've never really been "enthused" with the way they look from the side.....but, they fit. Fun part? They actually rub a HAIR on the bezel, so, you know - not a LOT of room to work with.
Here's what the shroud looks like inside of a headlight bowl, no bezel around:
and completed.
So, not a lot of room around it......especially to fit one of Gatling Gun 2.0 shrouds in there.
Here's a comparison of the 2 shrouds:
Lets put it into more perspective here.......the 2 shrouds in a 06-08 headlight bowl.

Ok, enough rambling.....so, I grabbed the dremel and started cutting. I had some spare parts, so I didn't care if I jacked it up - its all in good fun.
In the end, here's what I came up with:

got a little happy with the dremel. whoops. know I know I don't need to take as much off down there.

Oh, and here's what that shroud looks like now:

So, what do you guys think?
Honestly, I am a little hesitant to show the pics - but I can't keep it to myself. I shared with a few people last night (seriously, I can't keep **** like this to myself)
Most of my hesitation comes in the fact of how long it takes to get these right. Gotta keep that in mind when I start doing these up!
