Indicator next to consol shifter

Hi, just picked up a 2010 1500 TRX4 5.7, was wondering if the indicator next to the shifter on the consol showing gear position was to be illuminated as mine are not.

Yes it's definitely suppose to light up! I had the same issue on my '10. Sometimes if you tap it, it'll light back up again. There's a little bulb in there. You can access it through a "hatch" on the left (driver's) side of the center console that you pop off with a flat head screwdriver. You have contort yourself but you'll see two wires leading to it once you get in there. You have to twist and pull the socket out. Lefty loosey - righty tighty!

There's a number on the bulb. I forget what it is but I actually picked mine up at a Toyota dealership. Apparently it's the same bulb that Toyota uses in the Corolla's heater controls. Sláinte!

Yes, mine is lit up also.

yes its is and mine was working. I just haven't had time to fix it.
