Ok. I bought the relocation brackets and waiting on them to come in. My question is I only have an angle grinder and was wanting to keep the rear end under the truck while I do it. Can I cut off the mounts with just an angle grinder or is a plasma cutter the only way to do it. It looks fairly simple but I know looks can definitely be deceiving.

I used a Sawzall. I would suggest great eye protection for anything other than a plasma cutter.

You can do it but it not optimal.

I tried with a side grinder and zip disc/cut-off disc and gave up after a 1/2 hour of breaking disc's,then dug out my cutting torch and cut them off,and that was with the rear-end out and on the ground. As BigSky said, you'd be better off using a sawzall and some decent metal cutting blades instead of a side grinder.
