Hey all...new to this forum.

I'm trying to replace my Infinity 7 speaker system in my 2005 1500 Quad cab and I'm finding out that that might not be an easy task. I've done my own installs for 40 years now, but I'm completely lost in that quagmire of wires on the Infinity. The new base wiring harness I tried is worthless and now I'm finding out about the Infinity amp bypass thingy that costs almost as much as the new head unit. What is the easiest way around the amp problem to get my new Pioneer installed?

you are going to need that new harness man........unless you run everything off of aftermarket amps and run the wires to the speakers yourself.

I think I'll investigate running new wires first...the frugal side of me just can't swallow the price tag just yet.

Just an update, I ran all new wire to the Infinity speakers and hooked up my Pioneer DEH 7300BT and everything is good. I may add an amp in the future but for now I'm happy.

Sweet I'm glad you got it all sorted the infinity stereos are ****. I would have rather here the base model so it would have been easier to replace

Hi guys,

I'm also planning to replace the oem radio for JVC.
Is it not possible to hook an aftermarket radio up to the Infinity amp??

The radio outputs are going directly to the Infinity amp, so it should be posible to do this with any other system....no?

Not without the aftermarket wiring harness Marc. I ended up running all new wire to the speakers and bypassing the amp. The Kenwood system I went with sounds fantastic without an amp so I haven't added one yet, but I may at some point.

Hi guys!!

Finaly an update from me.

Last week i replaced the factory hu for an Pioneer DEH-8400BT.

With the SCOSCHE CR02B harnass and a Bestkits bracket it almost was a "plug and play" job.

So it did not remove the Infinity amp, but plugged my new hu to it, just as the oem radio is hooked up to it, and it sound great!!
Infinity heaven!! :happy107:

here a pic:

So now it's time for my next project...putting the badges and emblems back who the former owner removed...
Hope to get some good deals, because i need a lot of them !!

Gtrzz,
Marc
