I just got my Ram1500 Limited with the 5foot 4 box. I was wondering if I have to run 91+ octane for gas? Can I get AWAY WITH 87 OCTANE with out hurting the engine?

The HO version of the Hurricane I-6 is stated as needing 91 octane fuel. If you run lower octane fuel the engine is more susceptible to lower power out, increased fuel consumption, and premature detonation. The engine has knock sensors but they can only re_tard the timing so much, engine damage is possible.
If money is so tight that the slightly higher cost of premium fuel is an issue, maybe don't splurge on a Limited trim truck.

Do a search, this has already been discussed to death. As stated above follow the owners manual. If you can afford to buy the truck, you should be able to afford the proper fuel for it.
