Infotainment center

Hello all, new to this group and new to having a 2023 ram 1500 classic with the 3.6 v6 engine. So far a great engine and happy with the purchase. I talked to someone at a ram dealership and he said something about checking to see if there’s an update on the infotainment center to get rid of this glitch, I tried but I don’t think there’s an update. Basically when I’m listening to the radio and switch to listening to a song through Bluetooth I’ve noticed the fm icon is still in the background of the song I’m playing… same deal with my backup camera. I’m not sure what the solution is to fixing the issue and wondered if anyone has experienced this before and knows a solution.

My other issue on Bluetooth is when I’m listening to a song and go to the next song it updates the name and artist of the song but not the album cover, it just stays the same as the last album cover. Basically the album cover is one song behind on Bluetooth but it doesn’t do it on Apple CarPlay.. anyone got any solutions or ram into that same problem?

That looks like screen burn in. Are you sure it's only on those two screens?

I’m pretty sure yes, I’ll look a little bit more later today but I haven’t noticed it anywhere else, like I said it doesn’t do it on Apple CarPlay

I have the 12” screen so it’s probably different. But the volume knob……the center is the power button. Hold it in for like 10 seconds until it shuts down. Then release and it should reboot. Yours might be different tho

On my 2014 with the 8.4 Uconnect the reboot is holding the power and tuning knob on the other side. Somewhere around 5-10 seconds triggers it. Fwiw, my system intermittently does the same things you are describing - album cover lags behind or just gets stuck on the first song, etc.

New to Ram forums. Just purchased a ‘24 Classic 1500. About month ago and I was looking to eventually upgrade the 5” touch screen version w/ an aftermarket 12” Tesla style. Is there any recommendations as to which one to get. I asked dealer and they told me to go to a guy but I am able to do it myself as long as it’s plug n play. I’m not looking to splice any wires. I came across one online that had good reviews but was looking to see if anyone had success with one. Thanks. I’ll put up some pics of the truck just bcoz.

Personnally, I recommend going with a factory upgrade over the T-Styles. I played around with one for a year or so but that was the problem, constantly had to play around with it.

I have a Linkswell t style infotainment unit 15.6".I am happy with it and it is more reliable than OEM,8.4 radio unit

Good ole' UConnect to make everything an issue!
Garbage system IMPO!!!!!!

If you're going to keep your current rig long term, then consider going to an aftermarket head unit and never having to concern yourself with the nonsense that is UConnect!
