was inspired by the above posts, decided to install a 32' Curved Light Bar from Rough County. Pictures of install...
I'm planning to put a 42" curved bar in but I just need help with the bracket. What material did you guys use? How long did you cut them? And the size of the holes.
Sick!!!
2012 Express.
I've been lurking, decided to join and post my own pic. This is the 42"/45" Cree light bar that I picked up from eBay. I bought a 40 Amp switch and installed it with a 35 amp fuse running directly off the battery. These light bars so awesome, I love how freaking bright they are, especially with the 2012 headlights.
I'm still trying to decide if I should plastidip the grill surround to black out the mounting tabs or just cut out 90% of the original grill. I used 1/4" 1.5" aluminum straps, bent to fit and used the lower bumper mounting bolts. The 42" light bar fits nicely on the 2012s and fills up the lower grill opening without touching the white paint of the bumper cover. Don't forget to mask the whole area around the lower grill to protect your paint while installing.
How did you mount it? Where did you get the led bar?
