So after leveling the truck I’ve had a few heavy loads which definitely made the truck squat in the rear. I rectified that this weekend with the airlift kit with the added wireless controller.

So much nicer with the controller to make adjustments on the fly without needing a separate air source. Definitely solves the squat issue when hauling heavy loads.

I was planning on using the day star air bag cradles for when it goes off-road but it uses a single hole in the center where as the airlift kit uses two offset holes for mounting. After talking with airlift they claim there’s plenty of stretch in the bags to accommodate full droop of the suspension, just make sure to air it down to the lowest setting first.

I've put about 3000 miles on mine since adding the same kit with wireless controller. Makes a world of difference when towing our camper

Yea it came with the ultimate plus kit, it was the same price as the ultimate kit on amazon so no brainer for me. Still have to use the plastic line to tie it into the compressor though.

What type of weight are you towing? Did you do the 5000 or 7500 kit? I plan on upgrading to a heavy 13K fifth wheel soon and I want one of these kits, just not sure on the 5000 or 7500.

I personally pull an 8000 lb bumper pull camper with a 600 lb 4wheeler in the bed and about 400 lbs on the wheeler. Plus 4 adults and one child. Level the back end out with the bags and it's like there's nothing back there.

Go with the 7500 kit as they are a larger diameter bag. The larger the diameter of the airbag, less pressure is required to support the load. Lower pressure in airbags will give a smoother ride.

Although with an approximate 2500 lbs load in the bed it might not make much difference ride wise and you only leave 5 psi in the airbags when unloaded so you won't feel them.

I did the 5000 lb kit. I don't tow one specific thing regularly but random things all the time. I have a 2,500 lb equipment trailer that sees a lot of use anything from cars, sxs hay rides etc. I've had quite a bit of weight in the bed too that would have been nice to air up to level it back out. Nothing crazy like a toy hauler or anything like that though.

Thank you for the feedback, the 7500 kit does seem like it would fit my needs better, but they dont have many options and I am not sure if it has the internal jounce. I may have to call them and ask. I like knowing that if a bag fails while out camping I have that jounce there. Anybody out there using just the 5000 kit with max payload or a little over payload? (Lets not start one of those back and forth payload police issues please!)

Great looking install, I'm planning on getting the 5000 with the jounce or maybe the 5000+ since it's only a few dollars more. I already the wireless remote 72000 so all I need is the airbags.

How hard was it drilling in the steel beam? I'm just waiting for some money to come in, it want be long those.

The bags themselves required no drilling. Mounting the compressor did require drilling pilot holes for the self tapping screws. It’s pretty thick so definitely use a good drill bit.

Great with the bags I just install the Airlift 5000 plus I install my wireless 72000 were you install your line on top of where the spare goes, and so far I'm loving them. I install my valve in the bed because I didn't want to drill no holes.

Looks fantastic, great photo's. I bet your ride improved tremendously. What does a kit like this cost? Did you do it yourself?

I got everything on amazon, you get get some pretty good deals on open box if your patient. I think for the compressor kit and bags it was around $600-$700 ish With the cradles I haven’t installed yet.

And yea I did the install myself. It’s pretty straight forward. Instructions are good.

I had the wireless controller 72000 but I bought the airlift ultimate Plus off of Amazon for about $380 or something like that. Here is where I install my pump.DSCN3226.JPG DSCN3227.JPG DSCN3228.JPG
