A good friend is looking to buy a used 2500 long bed crew cab(4 door whatever they call them these days). Budget is around $40,000.

Could a newer one have been bought with seating for 6, no bucket seats up front. All the nice lower mileage ones have buckets up front, they have a family of 6 so bench is needed. Not looking for a stripped down work version either.
Year is not a factor so as long as it is a 3rd/4th generation. For $40k they would expect a newer 3rd gen versus an '03 obviously.

I have an 06 2500 quad cab (not a crew), it's a Laramie and came with buckets up front with a center council that folds down into a seat although it's pretty much for a smaller person or a subteen kid. Don't know anything about the interior trim levels on a 4th gen on up. I kind of doubt that you will find a front bench in any of the 3rd or 4th gens (or 5th gens for that matter).

They make them with the front center seat/console option, but if your friend is wanting a Laramie or higher trim option they are hard to find because most people want the AC seat option which can only come with the buckets up front.

There are 3 or 4 on the lot in St Petersburg fl and a 1/2 dozen in Dade city Fl.

Search CarMax (not advertising, just experience with) Just bought a 2019 BigHorn 2500 Cummins Crew-Cab 4x4, 8' bed. Has the bench seating (flip-up center console) 11,000 miles. This thing is immaculate. Factory wheel to wheel steps, bed liner. Was a Hertz Equipment Rental. Well maintained. Last 2 trucks through Carmax were the same Hertz etc etc. Not a lick of problems. Had it shipped in with no cost and no obligation to buy. $42,999. Plenty in the system if he/you can take a few moments to search. No negotiation at all on pricing. Their policy. Again, no affiliation with, just a pleased returning (x3) customer.
