Interior Road Noise

Recently, I replaced my 2012 1500 Longhorn with a 2024 1500 Longhorn (both with Hemi's, Sunroof, and rear floor compartments). I didn't recognize that the 2012 had excessive interior road noise but the 2024 does. The 2024's interior road noise is noticeable. Any suggestions on how to dampen the interior road noise level?

How do the tires compare between the 2 trucks?

The difference between my summer and winter wheels is noticeable.

Summer = Michelin Defenders on 20" alloy rims
Winter = BFG All Terrain KO2s on 17" steel rims

On the gen 4s sound deadner on the rear cab wall makes a big difference, I’m not familiar with the 5th gen

Tires and tire pressure (measured and adjusted cold) are key first steps.

I too run the Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires on my summer 20" rims and it's super silent.

If more sound deadening is desired, you could remove the interior and line everything with a quality sound deadening material.
