I have my seats all the way back in my CC and noone ever complains about leg room. I am sure the mega cab is awesome never been in one as I was in Korea and Japan when they were new

I too have had no problems with the quad cab. No car seat here, just a booster. I do want a mega cab 2500 for my next truck. But for now that's just dreaming. I fell like the 5.7 would be adequate but not ideal for such a large truck like there was in the mega cab 1500's.

They are nice but the pumps hit you hard. Mine was lifted and was not practical for my family

I have probably 5 or 6 friends with 3rd gen QC Cummins as well as my girlfriend and her dad
My dad has a 4th gen QC
Definitely more room in the 3rd gens, we always have 4,5 or 7 bigger people in them with out many complaints lol I cant comment on the child seats though haha
Just not a fan of mega cabs

Looks good. Although I would personally stretch to find a 2010 or so with the newest body style. I hate buying a generation behind if I'm purchasing. Although the modifications already done on this vehicle are probably considerably expensive.

i initially thought about looking for a nice used 4th gen cummins, but some folks on the forum (much smarter than me regarding trucks) advised me to go with the 3rd gen cummins instead of the 4th gen because of the repair costs on the 4th gens would be much much higher than that of the 3rd gens, and rebuilding a 3rd gen tranny to be bulletproof would be much less expensive than on a 3rd gen.

ok..... so it would be ok for kiddos to ride in the back until they get to be 6' tall then. good to know!

I have two little ones in the back of mine and they fit fine. I think the next truck is going to be a Megacab though for the extra space.

Very true and you dont have as much emissions junk on the 3rd gen. No urea to fill either.
