I have a 2014 sport 4x4. The past couple of weeks I have heard what sounds to me like a "clicking" noise. Only hear it around 40-60km per hour. I've heard it in 2wd and 4x4 auto. It's not a grinding sound, the truck feels the same with or without noise. The noise reminds me of old school mechanical speedometers that the plastic gears are clicking. The noise is either on or off, with no sound change with vehicle speed or RPM. Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm sure it's not, it's definitely coming from outside around the driver's tire area. Does not sound like an axle issue.

Get a video if you can do so safely. Or have someone in the passenger seat to do it for ya.

It would help if we could hear it too.

I will try. It hasn't become that common yet, In two weeks it will do it a few times every 3rd day and only in the city as soon as I slow down it stops which makes me think drivetrain, but the noise doesn't sound terrible...I hope anyway.

Definitely sounds faster than wheel rpm when I hear it, but I don't notice much change with RPM's either. I would think an axel would change with speed.

I think I've narrowed it down. it seems to be happening when MDS kicks in, I usually drive with it in manual 8th to avoid this. I have an exhaust manifold leak on the driver's side, I'm guessing when it goes to 4 cylinders it is changing the frequency of the leak.
