I currently have a ‘16 ram 2500 and really like this truck. I have had very few issues. I am thinking about getting a ‘19 Ram and have seen several posts about issues with the 19 model. Are their any 19 owners that are happy with their purchase?

YUP, only issues are the 3 recalls. I have had 2 done, one pending. The only thing I would do over would be to get a slightly higher trim level, but I have no regrets. I got my Bighorn level 2 options for $12,500.....(Would think of getting all blacked out model if I live in a slightly cooler place than TX)

ADDED: Now, U not gonna tow like U can with the 2500. So if U tow real big, U need to stay with the 2500, the 1500 can do but U be maxing out for sure.

All above IMHO....

I bought a 19 all but stripped 4x4 Tradesman with the 6.4 an 3.73 limited slip gears.
I don't like the fact they removed the cup holder/storage on the floor but other than that it's not bad. I only have about 1,900 miles on it an have only towed our 27ft Jayco TT twice for a total of around 300 miles.
Other than trying to buy accessories for it an comparing the little extras my 2015 Tradesman had this one doesn't I can't tell much difference between the 2. Even with this one being a long bed the drive ability, ride an engine power are all about the same as the old 15. Fuel mileage I'm averaging 15.4 over all. Seen as high as 17.4 an while towing as low as 10 everything. All depends on if I keep my foot out of it and or if I'm towing towards a higher or lower elevation.
Sometimes I wish I didn't trade my old one in but I needed a long bed an I wasn't spending a bunch of money to get one so I don't regret it either

I’d be happy if mine didn’t have a dozen issues including a water leak, brake problems, misaligned doors that are sticking shut at times and other things. It’s been at the dealer for 16 days and counting with no ETA on parts. It’s it’s 25th day in service since I bought it in December.

I am looking around at Fords and GMC’s depending on the outcome of this, but don’t really like either of their interiors compared to the 5th Gen Ram. Not sure what I’ll wind up doing. :-(

I posted on the other one (is that thread yours too?) but I am completely satisfied with mine. Not a single issue, unless you count the brake pedal recall. I've had it 6 months and 3500 miles.

Very Happy. I went from a 14 1500 to a 19 1500...………..now here comes the BUT! What did I really get out of it? Not much to be honest. Yeah, the new lines grow on you and make you stop into a dealership to check them out closer and then you're impressed with the interior and the ride. After owning it for a year, the lines really aren't that different other than the front end. Yes, the interior is modernized so I won't take anything away from that. That ride, yes it's better but like my last Ram, I put larger 10 ply tires on it which took away that supple stock ride. Don't get me wrong, it's still nice but rides real close to what my 14 did now.

Moving from a 2500 to a 1500 would be significant for you in comfort. Just make sure you're not trying to make a 1500 do a 2500's job.

I could see that in your case. In my case, I went from a 2004 to a 2019. It's a pretty noticeable difference :) If I still need a truck 15 years from now, after being long retired, I'll have to report in how it is to go from a 2019 to a 2034 model :Big Laugh:

Yes, that is my post. I appreciate the response. I don’t why it duplicated and couldn’t figure out how to delete it.

Seems like it's been happening a lot lately. I've had occasional times where the site hasn't been working very well (but my internet and other websites I was on functioned normally), and after those times I've noticed a lot of double posting presumably from other members experiencing issues with the forum as well.

I love the truck, its been my favorite car Ive owned so far, might be due to the fact that its the first car Ive owned where my 6'4" body actually fits in. Ive had no issues other than the 3 recalls and one time when my stereo screen didnt turn on, just restarted the truck and it came back fine havent had the issue since. The recalls dont really bother me, its the first year of a new generation, i bought it with the expectation of a few recalls.

I love mine, 2019 Laramie with Level 1. No problems at all. I live in Texas and the AC is cold enough for me. I have had vehicles where the AC is colder but the Ram AC does the job. Get the heated/cooled seats. I love the cooled seats.

I went from a '13 1500 Big Horn to a '19 2500 Laramie...

Went from 5.7l Hemi w/ 3.21 gears to the 6.4l Hemi w/ 3.73 gears (both trucks had the 8spd).

Also went from the 8.4" Uconnect to the 12" Uconnect.

I've gotta say... I'm absolutely in love with the new truck! I've heard there were issues with some of the earlier builds, but mine's been flawless. 434435cfe580b8e291f38f9bc8591f91.jpg

I have had my Laramie about 2 months. I have put a little over 1,600 miles on it. I really like the ride. It's so quiet and comfortable. Definitely the best new truck I have ever owned. And it's the 1st new Ram I have owned. I have had Tundra, Tacoma, Chevy and Ford.

That is the one feature I wish I had. I would trade the heated wheel and heated seats for cooled seats in a second. I carry around my own heat :Big Laugh:
