Is this idea horrible?

Messing around in photoshop seeing what my truck would look like with flares and came up with this idea.
Would it be a sin to run another color on the flares only (that's not black) without the rocker panels painted too?

Bright Silver was the idea here...

Terrible lighting in the pics but you get the gist of it.

So, it's the worst idea ever or uniquely cool? Just "meh"? Opinions please.

all depends on the rest of the theme of the truck. You have chrome and black on it. I guess as the truck sits now body color it

ehh its ok. I think if you added the silver somewhere else on the truck it would look pretty cool... otherwise it kinda stands out to much

+1 for simple and clean. However paint matched if you get them.

hmmm...I've never been a fan of two tone trucks myself. I prefer the monochromatic look.

However, going with what you like the best is the way you should go.

I appreciate the input you guys, I get caught up in making my truck "different" sometimes going a bit too far haha.

i think its hard to not do color matched with the sport bumper . I doesn't have the transition to a different color like the slt bumper does.

I think, on this case, no flares gives it a badder look. If i can call it that. your tires i feel give the truck a good enough look to have flares take away from it. Maybe if you had more width the flares would make it grow. This is just me, and I don't have any experience with the off road look, just what I would like to see go on mine.

I really like the bushwacker flares, which I saw for the first time on Rocky Ridge Customs website, but they catch my eye on certain wheels and tires only. Around here, my home area, some trucks have put some bushwackers on and I don't like the look. Their flares are the eye catcher and I'm more of catching looks as a unit. I think your truck looks really nice, bad ass, the way it is. I personally would probably go with some sort of black wheels, which is what im saving for and would match your nerf bars, but its just personal preference. Good luck and Nice Truck!!


p.s. I keep posting opinions because I love this place and its vibe. I don't have a modified truck YET, but Im on the right track. However after the wedding this year, mmmmm yeah im pretty sure that's gonna change.
