The Hellcat pump does squat for promoting anything to do with engine longevity, all it does is absorb horsepower and create more oil heat,it Does Not put anymore oil on the cam lobes or lifter roller, they are strictly oiled by crank splash. That's a myth that was started by Re-Ignited Cycle, and even he admits he has nothing to back up his claims.
You want to actually do something to help the engine live longer, suck it up and have it tuned and have the idle turned up to at least 750 rpm, that accomplishes way more then the hellcat or melling pumps do.
That is exactly the problem with the interweb. Someone says something, it get repeated a gazillion times and thus shows up as the truth. AI is already making that even worse by orders of magnitude. Before the internet, finding information was a huge problem and took a ton of time and work. I think forums like this are extrordinary for passing on info from guys that actually know but damn, the downside is huge too.
