Since day one I noticed the back door window gaskets not sitting inside the window frame correctly, it operated ok and didnt leak so I just let it slide, meaning I wasnt prepared to visit the dealer for this probable issue.

However, a few moments ago, I was washing the front windows and noticed the passanger front door window seal has been pinched and pushed up with the glass. It must have been like for a while as no amount of pulling or messaging it put it back to its original shape.

Is this part easy to change? I am assuming the door card / panel may have to be removed for this to be changed.

I am not too fussed about the back two door seals, but primarily now the front passanger seal that is disfigured.

Why not take it to the dealer and let them deal with it. That's why you have a warranty.

The upper part doesn't look too bad, I think that's the rear, but the front is definitely off.

On my other truck the inner peice used to slide down like you have pictured but I would just push it back up in the track and it would stay there for like 6 months.. As for it being pinched, thats not normal.. let us know what the dealer does. They should fix that no problem, clearly a defect.

They wont slide up, it is as if the seal is too small for the back quad cab windows on both side.

The front passanger door window seal I believe the part needs to be changed, either I risk taking to dealer or buy the part ( Weather Strip Right 55112366AF ) for about $90 and do it myself.

The person about you mentioned about warranty, yes, I agree I do have a warranty, but I prefer to use that at last resort, prefer to do the stuff myself.

You prefer to do it yourself and spend 90 bucks on parts and risk potential future issues which u would then be likely responsible for / warrant denied for your correct or incorrect repair efforts? While I don't understand it, if that's what floats your boat I say go for it.

Unfortunately that is what I have experienced through my life with work done on vehicles in the past with dealerships. The headache of them fixing something then adding another fault and the travelling backwards and forwards to them to remedy such cases all the time. In a nutshell, I dont trust the ********.

So I'm just curious.. with that logic in mind, if your motor blows up at 70K miles and it cost you 5500 bucks to replace would you spend the money, buy the motor and do the install or would you let them do it for free?

Haha that is crazy. I must value my personal time much more than you. Working on a vehicle that is under warranty is a waste. I am ASE and Chrysler master certified, but when there is a problem with my wife's 2013 Q7, I drop it off and tell them to let me know when it is fixed. You have got to find a better dealer that will take care of you.

Anything over 0$ under warranty is going in the shop in my book... And if they don't fix it right, then they fix it again, and if they keep running into issues then you drive it up the flagpole. However, for the sake of this thread, and your issue.. I cant see how they could royally F this up. but either way let us know how it works out!
