i think its overpriced, however when is the last time you seen a truck with 79K original miles and 100% spotless?

I think he is basing his price thinking he has a UNICORN truck.....

Run it thru KBB and see what it comes up with. My guess is it will be around 6-7k. He is banking on the lift/rims and tires and all the extras to make up the difference.

tough call there. he has something that not alot of people have, but then again its still only worth X amount of money

If it were me id start a conversation and see where it leads....

I must say finding that year truck in that condition with only one owner and 79000 miles is very hard the price is a bit much but I think it’s worth it if you like the truck I’m sure you can wiggle the price around a bit but when you add in the factors and how good everything is I say go for it

I guess it depends on what you are in the market for. If you are looking for a clean truck to lift and put tires on, probably money ahead to buy that one. The next thing is - do you plan on using it as a TRUCK? Obviously that one hasn't been rode hard and put up wet like most 2500 series trucks have been, so it probably wouldn't be a wise purchase to use for a farm truck, or to take muddin'. Not being a fan of lifted trucks, I see an $8K truck that needs $5K of work to put it back to stock, but that's just me. IMO it is a very niche market truck - luxury car interior, pampered paint, work truck chassis, off road suspension - kind of a confused identity. But with that said, if you want the looks of a lifted clean truck to continue to pamper and not really use as a 2500 series truck, you probably won't do too bad with that one. But using it as a 2500 series lifted truck and the value drops fast.

now the question is, are those true miles, my friend showed me that in 30 seconds he can unhook the speedometer and have the miles stop for as long as its unhooked, common problem on the 2nd gens

I tend to low ball, its a nice truck, but i'd top out at 5k for any 2nd gen thats not a diesel, doesn't matter how good of shape its in, becuase even the newest true 2nd gens are 17 years old now. Thats an old truck for what they were. If it were a diesel, that would add maybe 1k to the price for me, i've yet to see a diesel that wasn't beaten ****** by the owner.

If you want all those mods on that truck, add up the costs and see what you are saving if you had to do it yourself on a stock truck and see if it makes sense.

I don't buy into the idea your mods are worth 0$. Yeah, you need to find the right buyer and they are out there and no, you aren't going to get anywhere near 100% of the mods in return.

I paid 1k over kbb for my truck, with lift, tires and a sound system, cost the guy about 6k for all that. Hell yeah I bought that truck. I just saved $5k, I was going to do all that anyway.

I spent a year looking for a truck with the lift, where someone was not trying to recoup their total costs. A couple went by just like the deal I got and they were gone in just a couple days. All the other trucks trying to get all that money back sat around like manure in a pasture.

If it makes sense for you, pull the trigger!

That mileage cheat is some F..... up $... if they did that.
