Hello everyone!

I hope you can help me out. I recently purchase JBA shorties 1/58 headers and about to go about the installation of these. But I am reading that you should replace the gaskets ( OEM and no JBA's ) and get new bolts(also OEM).

Does anyone know the part numbers for these? I believe I found the L/R gaskets right from mopar. But nothing on the bolts.

The truck has about 65k on it and figure while I'm working on that area might as well replace anything that is needed or may be needed in the near future.

Any suggestions?

Thank you all again.

The bolts are 6503131. I have the receipt in front of me for the ones I bought last week. You'll need 16 of them.

Thank you! Are you replacing the gaskets (OEM?)? Or anything else while switching out the headers?

Too much doom and gloom on the internet and people regurgitating crap they read with no firsthand experience....

I used the bolts and supplied gaskets with mine and had zero issues. People say the same for the ARH longtubes too...I've had 2 sets on 2 trucks with zero issues with their bolts and gaskets either.

The parts JBA sends are just fine. Install and torque correctly and enjoy your headers.

Yes, I used OEM gaskets when I did mine, but mainly because I bought the kit second-hand and couldn't be sure that every part was in perfect condition.
Also, while I'm busy regurgitating crap, with 65k on that truck, you'll want to be sure to soak the manifold bolts with PB Blaster really well a few times before you start trying to remove them.

Im just curious how you correctly torque the header bolts............... I barely had room for a small wrench with 1/8" turn on a couple bolts lol.
