We are going to be buying a new vehicle for the wife at the end of the year and Wrangler is on the list. Do they make a Wrangler trim with a non-removable hard top? We like the style of the Wrangler, but she will never remove the roof. Kind of like the Bronco. We were looking at that too, but it also has a removable top. I'm not really thrilled with a vehicle that has a roof that will eventually leak - and it will eventually leak - or one that I have to keep the seal maintained so it hopefully doesn't. Thanks a bunch.

Part of the outdoors 4 X 4 enjoy the air BS, lol. NOW, U could go talk to a dealer and see if U can get a Build for one with hardtop (non-removeable), BUT I kinda doubt it. Puts you into looking at other Jeep/Cherokee options than Wrangler, just the facts SGT Friday, just the facts, lol.

Nah, if we get the Jeep she wants one that still kind of looks like the old school Jeep - you know, squared off front end and whatnot. The only other one is the Gladiator, but all of those trims have removable roofs also. What is it with Jeep anyway? Do they think that the only people who want one are 20-somethings with bad credit?

U asking the wrong BOIRD. I owned a 74 Cherokee once, with the 304, and AWD, dat thing was a monster at 8 mpg. BOIRD has no desire on any of these, my lowly optioned early build DT truck works just fine. I got a Big a z z MC if I want some air, roflmao. Also got one of these for real refreshing air, see pic below.

Wife has a 13 with over 100K on it, we take the top & doors off quite often. Never had a leak. If yoy never take them off I think it would be fine for a long time.

I've never had a problem with the removable top of my Wrangler.

They come with what is known as the Freedom Roof Panels. You can remove a portion of the top which sits right over the two front seats. It's kinda nice to open up that portion of the roof for some sunny day cruising. Removing them does not require removing any of the fasteners that hold the top to the body tub.

Of course for many Jeep owners taking the top off as well as the doors is a treasured tradition that goes back to the days when Jeeps had nothing more than a canvas top and no doors at all.

Not a term someone of my generation normally uses. We use the full spelling of AF all the time, but lame is an 80's and 90's thing. And my wife is not lame AF.

Just get one with the color matched Hard top and never take it off.
I had a 2014 Sahara which was my primary winter driver (motorcycle in summer) so the top never came off.
It never leaked and the road noise was much better than a soft top.

I agree, if you never take the top off, the chances of a leak are slim to none.

Friend of mine just bought his wife a Wrangler with the 392 hemi in it - sounds nice with the cutouts open

If a non removable top is a deal breaker, you might want to look at a Toyota 4Runner. That being said, I also have a 16 jeep wrangler 2 door. I do enjoy taking the roof down and enjoying the fresh air.

In the military, before we Finally got our HMMWV's, we still had M151A2 jeeps. We did have Canvas for the doors and tops, BUT alas, our LtCol was a PITA, and even tho I was in a CSS unit, Combat Service Support, we were not allowed to have doors or tops, so there we are on the Autobahn in the Mid 80's running no tops, doors, MG mounted on pedestal,. Everybody else in the US Army had Hummers, and we were running open jeeps, man did it get cold in the mountains like Wildflicken etc.,.

Run my MC as much as I can in summer too, till temps get over like 100, than back to the RAM, over 100, friggin too hot, cook dis BOIRD, lmao.

We were the last to get our Humvee's. We did not get them fielded to our units till 1987.

LOL so was I except Army National Guard first, money for school. When I dropped out of college I went active duty AF as they offered the better deal.
