Jump seat

Hey guys, I'm getting my '17 Ram 1500 (sticker included) sight unseen. Neither I nor the leaser have seen the truck physically and I'm trying to figure out if it has a jump seat in it. If it doesn't I want to know how difficult of a swap is it and what I would need. I hear that the center console without the jump seat is an upgrade so I hope this one doesn't have it.

Before you guys start harping on me about leasing a truck sight unseen... I'm getting an excellent lease deal, it has the 3.92 axle ratio, the 32 GAL gas tank, 5.7 Hemi, 4X4, the 20" wheels and the blackout package... those are pretty much the only things I wanted so I don't care about anything else.

It has a 40/20/40 bench seat so it has a fold down arm rest that can be used for a center (very squashed) front passenger when set upright.

That 6th seat actually comes in handy sometimes. I miss having it on my new truck. Not great for long drives, but short trips out with a group it can mean 1 car instead of 2. That's 1 less DD.

I too want the jump seat in my 2015 Sport 1500. Getting rid of that big, dumb, useless full console.
I'm wondering though if a jump seat from a 2500 or a 3500 will fit my 1500. Anybody know? thanks

All of the interior seats for 4th gen rams fit across model size. If you have the console shifter you will have to also move that, but the seats all bolt in the same places. Exception are the rear seats based on cab configuration.

I really wanted to convert rotary shift knob to console stick shift, to make use of the console but could never get a straight answer as to whether or not it can be done, so going to jump seat. Thank for info.
