I'm literally just about to buy a 2018 2500 with 6.4L HeavyDuty.

I need to verify (becuase it is not LISTED in the window sticker) the Hitch class and if the wiring is in place for the 7 pin connector. I see some models list those items out specifically.

Here is a link to the Window sticker.

I plan to tow a receiver hitched travel trailer with the potential to tow a 5th wheel at some point.

Please help ASAP..

thanks,

I did not know you could get HD without the 7 pin connector. That said look at the back of the truck just above the bumper you should see the 7 pin connector under cover that lifts up.

Yep. There will be a flat 4 pin on top and the round 7 pin directly under it.

It might be relocated to inside the bed with the prep package I’m not 100% sure. But you will have it somewhere

Hey guys..

Thought I'd let you know that I purchased a NEW 2017 RAM 2500 6.7L Cummins Big Horn trim.

NEW: only had 729 miles on it. :)

When I asked the dealer about it the short story is..

It was to be given away as part of a promotion/fund raiser (so had some extra goodies on it)
RAM had put a sale hold on it due to a couple of recalls.
It never got put back into "available to sale" until mid 2018.
Meanwhile ppl were buying 2018's.

After I missed a deal that I was going to get the 6.4L on 12/30 I started shopping around for "Used" ones.
Turns out the dealer put this add on the "used list" and bam.. I found it, I drove (about an hour away) and drove it, bought it next day.

So, now I'm studying up on DIESEL stuff...

Any hints, tips, tricks?

First, what is the break in period on one of these?
