I have been running with no sway bar, due to shot sway bar end links. And my rear shocks were shot.

SO needless to say driving on the highway in heavy wind SUCKED.

I replace the end links and reattached the sway bar, and installed some new(ish) rear shocks that I had. She drives a million times better. Kinda fell in love with it again, didn't think that would have happened.

No pics just an informal update on some necessary mods needed to keep the truck SAFE and running.

Yeah man, (background story: my parents own an antique store) I was driving a big old china cabinet in the bed standing straight up. And with the heavy wind we were having that day, lifted truck, and big cabinet, I was having to drive 60 mph 30 miles.... it took forever.

Yea, No sway bars is neat and fun off the road crawling around. Otherwise it really sucks!

IMO one of the most overlooked maintenance items that makes a big difference in the fun factor of driving the vehicle, shocks. They can take an old worn out feeling vehicle and make it feel new(er).
Glad to see that you are back to driving safe again.

Good necessary mods. I just had mine replaced recently also. Gives you a peace of mind that the truck is gonna be safe and perform well.

Nice, now you need to retract your thought of lowering and add some spacers to the front and do the add-a-leaf ;)

It's really not that bad, then the add-a-leaf is the same price. So for around $250 you can be sitting 3"higher. Not too bad IMO lol
